Walter Bienlien was born Sept. 10, 1890, in Perry County, Missouri, and came to Iowa in 1917. He married Margaret Bucholz in Omaha on August 12, 1931. He was a World War I Veteran. He passed away at the Veterans Hospital at Omaha, May 1963. Burial was in the Calvary (Catholic) Cemetery near Holstein, Iowa.

Survivors are his wife, one stepdaughter, Mrs. Mary Hansen of Holstein; one stepson, Louis Bucholz of McCook Lake, Iowa; William Bienlien of Davenport, Iowa; Francis Bienlien of Shreveport, Illinois; and Daniel F. Bienlien of Annapolis, Md.; two sIsters, Mrs. George Behrman of Okawville, Illinois; and Mrs. Edward Weinrich of Perryville, Missouri.

The funeral was held from Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church, Rev. Thomas J. Lawless officiating.
