A retired teacher of 34 years in both Fayette County, WV and Fairfax County, VA; Mrs. Dale graduated from the Morris Harvey College in Charleston, WV, and was active during the WW II efforts in Detroit, MI and at the Norfolk Naval Base in Norfolk, VA. She married Clayton Howard Dale, U.S. Navy, WW II (Ret.), who died in February 1983.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, James A. & Ellen Dale, Brightwood, VA; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret "Peg" & Chip Carson, Warrenton, VA; grandchildren, Karen Moore, Margaret Dale, Matt Carson, Katie Carson, & Amanda Carson; great-grandchildren, Genevieve & Aidan Moore.
Interment followed funeral services conducted at the Fairfax United Methodist Church, Fairfax, VA, where Mrs. Dale and been a longtime member, on Saturday, April 14, 2007.
