Miss Martha J. "Mattie" Peddy was the daughter of James C. Peddy Jr. and Nancy Ann Ferrer Peddy.
She married: Abt: 1869, Mr. John Daniel Cobb
He was b: 16 November 1845 in Georgia and d: 06 December 1921 in Shelby County, Texas.
They are both buried Ramah Cemetery Tenaha, Shelby County, Texas.

John D. Cobb was of Indian decent.
John left his home in Georgia and moved to Henderson County, Tennessee with the James C. Peddy family after the Civil War. (He married their daughter Martha Jane "Mattie" Peddy).
In 1878 the family's of James C. Peddy and John D. Cobb came by train to Shreveport Louisiana, then went on foot and by wagon to Shelby County, Texas.
