Lena Mehlhoff, 99, of Idaho Falls, died Oct. 4, 1999, at the Idaho Falls Care Center. She was born July 8, 1900, in Utica, Neb., to Conrad and Katherine Herbst Bauer. She was educated in Wilford, Idaho. On June 8, 1920, she married Peter Mehlhoff in Wilford. They moved to Idaho Falls in 1920 and she was employed in ladies' apparel by C.C. Anderson Co., the Princess Shop, and at Carroll' s. For more than 60 years she was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Federated Women' s Club, where she served for 10 years. For 27 years she served on the Methodist Church Chair. She enjoyed gardening and knitting. Survivors include her two daughters, Marjorie Richardson (Bill) of Blackfoot, and Darlene Becklund (Robert) of Tucson, Ariz.; one son, Donald Mehlhoff (Marianne) of Fresno, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th St. in Idaho Falls, with the Rev. Michael Kennedy officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday for one hour before the services. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery
