She was born August 30, 1912, in Shelton, Idaho, to
William and Sarah Alice Clegg Burtenshaw. She grew up in the Shelton area and attended the Buck School and Idaho Falls High school.
On May 13, 1933, she married Odis Lavaughn Miller. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on February 7, 1951. He died March 15, 1999.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served faithfully in many callings, including the Primary, MIA and Relief Society presidencies; she loved her Junior Gleaner girls and the many close friendships formed during these years of service.
Singing was one of the great joys of her life, and she was also a dedicated worker in the Family History Extraction Program, a devoted visiting teacher, and though her first priority was her family, she enjoyed her years at Ferrell's Department Store. Her warm smile and concern for others will always be remembered.
Survivors include her four sons, Larry O. (Evelyn) Miller of Idaho Falls, Stanley F. (Tricia) Miller of Albany, Oregon, Roger L Miller of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Brent C. (Sondra) Miller of Salt Lake City, Utah; two daughters, Lois A. (Mark) Ricks of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Karen (Gregg) Miller of Logan, Utah; a sister, Gladys Miller; 24 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and nu-merous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, an infant son, 4 brothers and 6 sisters.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS 20th Ward Chapel, with Bishop Lance Toone officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday, March 14, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. in Idaho Falls, and for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Eastern Idaho for their loving care.
