Funeral services for J. E. "Jake" Sims, 72, of Highlandville, who died early Sunday, Sept. 16 at Springfield Baptist Hospital where he had been a patient only two days, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant View Baptist Church west of Highlandville with the Rev. Warren Williams and the Rev. Maynard Aden officiating. Burial was in Flood Cemetery under direction of Harris Funeral Home of Ozark. Mr. Sims was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lona Sims; two sons, Truman Russell of Walnut Grove and Junior Sims of Highlandville; a daughter, Mrs. Ina White of Nixa; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
