Her maiden name was Estella K. Fronk, being a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Fronk. She was born at Sand Ridge in 1868, and with the exception of five year' residence at Rosalia, Washington, spent her entire life in Lebanon and vicinity. She was marred to J. W. Burkhart in 1905. She was an excellent woman and was held in the highest esteem by all who knew her.
Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her loss her mother, Mrs. S. J. Fronk of Lebanon, and four sisters and three brothers, namely: Mrs. H. S. Gore of Harrisburg, Mrs. G. W. Wyer of Los Molinos, California, Mrs. E. E. Parr of Crabtree, Mrs. B. F. Simmons of Lebanon, J. D. and William Fronk of Lebanon and J. H. Fronk of Seattle.
Funeral services were conducted in the Presbyterian Church at 2 o'clock this afternoon by Rev. W. S. McCullaugh, formerly pastor of this church, but now of Portland. Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery.
