Charlene Jordan, 63, of Waldron died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Waldron Health Care & Rehab Center.
Born April 19, 1945, in Cornerville, Ark., she was the daughter of Lester Ray and Elva (Boyd) Crutchfield. She married James A. Jordan on May 21, 1966, and he preceded her in death in October of 2001.
Survivors include her son, David (wife, Nicki) Jordan of Flat Rock; daughter, Judith (husband, David) Crafton of Shelbyville; brothers, the Rev. Arnold Leon (wife, Carolyn) Crutchfield of Brinkley, Ark., and Dale (wife, Billie) Crutchfield of Holts Summit, Mo.; sisters, Linda (husband, Randall) Green of Eldorado, Ark., and Carolyn Hughes of Cornerville; three grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Varniece Jackson.
Mrs. Jordan had lived in the Waldron area since 1968. She previously had lived in Cornerville.
She had been an emergency room secretary at Major Hospital for 25 years.
Mrs. Jordan graduated from Star City High School in 1965.
She was a member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church.
Mrs. Jordan loved her work at the hospital, working in her garden and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed creating crafts.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Cornerville Baptist Church in Cornerville.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Leon Crutchfield officiating.
Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery in Monticello, Ark.
