Louis Clopman was the son of Joseph and Rose Mazlor. He came to the United States with his parents in 1904. He lived in Watertown NY and worked in the scrap metal business before marrying Rebecca Landsman in 1913. In 1914 they relocated to Massena NY where Louis formed the Massena Iron and Metal Company. He also founded the Clopman Furniture Company in 1928. He was survived by two sons, and a daughter. A second daughter died before him.
