Rebecca was born in Iran, Lithuania. She came to the United States with her parents and married Louis Clopman on January 5, 1913 in Watertown. They moved to Massena a year later, where Louis founded the Massena Metal Company and Clopman Furniture store. Rebecca was survived by two sons, a daughter, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A second daughter, Rose Greenblatt, died in 1977.
