Born Jun. 18. 1826 in England , employed as a farmer, married to Sarah Ann Gray, resident of Canal, in Warrick Co., IN. Mustered out with other drafted men Jul. 25, 1865 in Chattanooga , TN with rank of Private. Notes: Came to U.S. 1852. Residence also listed as Campbell Twp. Retained 1 Springfield musket & cartridge box, paying $6. He filed Invalid Pension Application to receive Pension Certificate #325777 Feb. 10, 1885. Resident of Warrick, Co., IN, 1880-1900. Married secondly Elizabeth Grimwood. He died Mar. 28, 1918, in Canal, Warrick Co., IN; buried there in Asbury-Wood Cemetery in Chandler.
