David Vanpool was married to Margaret Barger Dec 21, 1813 and they were the parents of: George Henry Sr., David Francis, Catherine Lucinda (Marr. Clark Amos),and Obed Vanpool. Margaret Barger died Jan 15, 1825 and David married Margaret Leslie Jan 26, 1826. They were the parents of: Rowan Francis, John Carroll, Mary Jane, Samuel Arby, Margaret Ann, Sarah Lawcena, Wm. Calvin, Frances Ellen, and Rufus R Vanpool.

David Vanpool was a multi-talented man who could build a log cabin, a wagon, or anything else he put his mind too. His children talked of the way he took care of his family in the wilderness of Missouri and on the trip to Russellville in 1835.

This one family has a story for every child. They were part of the history of America.
