Olive Philena was born to Thomas Carlos Emett and Lucy Philena Canfield she was the oldest of 5 children, Don Thomas, David Carlos CARL, Elsie and Alice Lillian.Her father died of smallpox and her mother remarried to John Day Sr.She got 3 more siblings, Emma, John Jr and Henry Day who were twins. She md Walter John Knell 3 Oct 1894. They had 6 children, Thelma, Rulon, Joseph Karl, Raymond, Allie and Zelma
