Mrs. Mabel Pitre Weekley was a native of Houma, Louisiana, but had lived most of her life in Sulphur, LA.

She worked at W. T. Henning Elementary School in the cafeteria during the 1960s.

She passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 1996 in a local care center.

Funeral services were held on April 4, 1996 at Hixson Funeral Home and presided over by Rev. Mid Burnett. Burial followed at Mimosa Pines South in Carlyss, LA.

Survivors are one daughter, Lillie Thornton, of Sulphur, LA, twelve grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
