"John Dever born about 1773 in Germany. Came to U.S. in late 1700's and settled in Maryland. Fought in War of 1812 and fought under General Harrison on the frontier. He afterwards migrated to Beaver County, PA his
family number eight children. Died at the age of 76. John (Jr.he is buried in Yellow Creek, Columbiana County, OH) was his youngest son, who had a family of 12. His oldest being William" {William is buried in Flats Cemetery, Hancock Co, WV} Exceprt from "HISTORY OF THE PAN-HANDLE;

John married Elizabeth SHAFER about 1800. They had eight-possibly nine-children: Isaac, Elizabeth TORRENCE, Ann CONLEY, David, William, Margaret CRAIG, John, Sarah SPEARS, (maybe) another daughter who died between the 1820 and 1830 census. {This could be the second Nancy Dever who is buried here}

If his tombstone age is correct John was born in late 1771 or 1772. There is an ancestry.com listing of a John Deaver born Nov 14, 1771 in Baltimore Md with no parents listed.
Also according the book "Harford County History from 1608 until 1812" a David Deaver is listed among the Recruits of the 2 Battalions of Militia in Harford County during the Revolution and was discharged "being poor, having a wife and seven children"
