Rose Iva Agee married Mont Judson McMurray and had eight children.

In an excerpt from a letter written by her daughter, Geneva, she is honored and memorialized with these words:

"(Mom) has always been such a tower of strength to the whole family, but she just seemed anxious to lay down her burdens. Mom would have been 94 years old in March. I'm sure she was tired, they were certainly years filled with love, sacrifice and devotion.

Like all Mothers, she was the bond that kept us all together, and leaves a void that can never be filled."
