LOCAL RESIDENT SUCCUMBS AT 87
Emily Jane Reeves died March 8, a resident of McMinnville, at the age of 87 years, 10 months, and 28 days. She was born in Missouri April 10, 1862 and married I.M. Reeves in 1879. He preceded her in death in 1920.
She had resided in McMinnville since 1890 and had been a member of the Christian church for over 50 years.
Survivors are sons, Robert, McMinnville, and Roy, DeLake; daughters, Lizzie Merchant, May Peters, and Dotsie Robb, all of McMinnville; Gail DuSair, Portland, and Martha Pearson, Carlton; a brother, Ben Agee, The Dalles, 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday at the chapel of Macy and Son with the Rev. H.R. Rickard officiating. Interment followed in the Masonic cemetery.
