Mrs. Byrd, widow of Olin Byrd, went to be with the Lord August 26, 2006. Born in Jefferson, SC, she was the daughter of the late John and Minnie Holley. She was a lifetime area resident and member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. She was a former Sunday school teacher at Cayce First Baptist Church, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

Surviving are her two daughters; three sons, including Earnest Joe Byrd [now deceased] and Olin "Buster" Byrd Jr. [now deceased]; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Byrd was preceded in death by grandchildren, Michael A. Byrd and Stephen Byrd; great-grandchildren, Jennifer Kilgoar and Katherine Byrd.

Special thanks to all the caregivers at Twilight Manor for their love and care over her last months.
