SWEET WATER — John Curtis Ramsey, Jr., age 81, 1734 Country Road 9, died October 9, 1998 at Providence Hospital in Mobile. Services will be held 3 p.m. today at Nanafalia Baptist Church in Nanafalia, Ala., with the Rev. Willie Wimbs, Rev. Paul Hard and Rev. Gene Walley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directing.

Survivors include his wife Myrtis H. Ramsey of Sweet Water; three daughters, Rosemary R. Ingram of Thomasville, Rhonda R. Kelly of Nanafalia and Terry R. Noojin of Mobile; one son, John R. "Dick" Ramsey of Nanafalia; three brothers, Allan Ramsey of Nanafalia, Lewis Ramsey of Tuscaloosa and R. B. Ramsey of Fairhope; two sister, Hannah Mathers of Nanafalia and Elizabeth Greenway of Ft. Worth, Texas; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Donald (Don) Curtis Ramsey.
