BEECH CREEK NEWS
The funeral of SAUL HAAGAN took place from his late residence in Beech Creek Township yesterday morning at 11 o'clock, and was very largely attended. Services were held in the Disciple Church and were conducted by Rev. FRICK, pastor of the church, and Rev. M. S. BLAIR, of Big Run, Jefferson County, Pa., the latter preaching the sermon. The pall bearers were JONAS CLAR, Esq., DAVID MAPES, A. E. LOMIS, DAVID MYERS, LEONARD METZGAR (?), CHRISTIAN MYERS, PHILIP HEIMER and CASPAR PETERS. Interment was made in the graveyard of the church. MR. HAAGAN's death occurred Sunday, Nov. 19th, at the home of his son JOHN, in the state of Washington, after an illness of only five days. The cause of his death was acture diarrhea. He was aged seventy years and three months. His son JOHN accompanied the body on its three thousand mile journey across the United States.
