Born in Worcester, MA, on October 27, 1921; grew up in Longmeadow, MA; attended Colby Jr. College in New London, NH; married to William W. Alexander for fifty-eight years; mother of Richard (Anne) of St. Charles, MO, Peter (Susie) of Noblesville, IN, and Karen of Ballwin, MO; one grandchild and three step-grandchildren. Elinor found great joy serving as a foster parent to over fifty newborns. She also served her church in many ways. A Memorial Service was held 7/19/08 at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, Creve Coeur, MO. Interment services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, August 8, 2008, at Woodland Dell Cemetery, Wilbraham, MA. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
