His parents came to America arriving on the Ship Belvidere on May 20, 1802. They lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for awhile, then settled in Mifflin Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, where they purchased land. Johann George also used the name George Fritz. Some of his grandchildren changed the name back to Fritzius, some did not. Johann George and Catherine Eva had six sons and one daughter. They are mentioned in his 1845 estate papers in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. One of the sons is Jesse H. Fritz, my ancestor.
