Frank was a very successful business man as he operated a liquor business that was owned by his father-in-law, Nicholas Baltes. After Nicholas' death in 1881, Frank took over running the family business.
The family resided in Wilkes-Barre for over 55 years. He departed this life at 76 years of age due to an automobile accident. At the time of his death, his estate was worth over $70,000.

AUTO ACCIDENT CAUSES DEATH
FRANK HENNIGES, FORMER LIQUOR DEALER EXPIRES AT HOME HERE - WAS AGED 76
The death of Frank Henniges, aged 76, came as a shock to his host of friends throughout the city and valley. Mr. Henniges, died yesterday afternoon after three weeks of intense suffering due to an automobile accident. During all the time in which he was confined to his bed, he suffered the most excruciating pain and through all was silent.
He was born in Noreton, Hanover County, Germany, March 11, 1837. His wife and the following children survive: Mrs. William Britt, Mrs William Behme and Mrs. E. J. Morgan, all of this city. There are fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A brother is living in Germany.
Mr. Henniges was a devout member of St. Nicholas German catholic Church and a member of St. Nicholas, st. Joseph and St. Peter's Societies.
The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock with a solemn high mass of requiem at st. Nicholas German Catholic Church and interment in the Darling Street Cemetery.
