Dr. Ralph A Borah was born in Oldham, South Dakota April 7, 1901 and died Thursday (Feb 6, 1981). He was an educator, active participant in St. Luke's United Methodist Church and in community projects. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1926 from Eastern State Teacher's College, Madison, SD.; Master of Arts from the University of Minnesota in 1934; Graduate study at Boston University; Colorado University and Colorado State College of Education, Greely where he earned his Doctorate Degree. He was a Phi Delta Kappa. He worked as a processing engineer for Boeing in Wichita, Kansas; worked in establishing community blood banks in cities and towns across the Middle West; Field Director in Services to the Armed Forces-American Red Cross 1937-1949. From 1950-1955 he was an elementary principal in the Oklahoma School System. Retired from Central State University in 1967 where he was head of the Audio Visual Department.

He married Evelyn Elisabeth Roehr on 14 Jun 1952 in Oklahoma City. Oklahoma.
