Florence J. Neterval, age 95 of Evansville died June 15, 1988 at Crestview Manor Nursing Home. Services were June 20, 1988 at Calvary Covenant church with Rev. Lane Cornforth officiating. Interment was in Mound Grove Cemetery, Evansville.
Florence was born January 26, 1893 at Oldham, SD, the daughter of Joseph Borah and Alvina Hunt Borah. She attended school in that area and taught school for eight years.
She and Francis Neterval were married May 21, 1918, at Madison SD. They moved to Tony, WI., where they lived until 1926. They returned to South Dakota, and in 1935, they moved to a farm in Urness Township, Douglas County.
Her husband died in 1970, and she continued to live on the farm until 1973 when she moved into Evansville. For the past three years, she has been a resident of Crestview Manor Nursing Home. She is survived by a son, Virgil of Evansville; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; a sister, Leah Sawyer, Portland, OR; two brothers, Alfred Borah, New Rockford, ND, and Clifford Borah of Napa, ID.
Pallbearers were Joseph Neterval, Edwin Neterval, Russell Neterval, Roger Holtberg, Harold Libke and Reuben Neterval. Honorary pallbearers were Lloyd Hokanson and Charles Luetgers.
Nilson Funeral Home of Evansville was in charge of arrangements.
