MRS. JOHN VICKROY

Ruth Agnes Beedle, daughter of Hiram and Alice Beedle, was born near Clearfield, Iowa, September 2, 1886, and passed away at her home in Lacona on November 23, 1951, at the age of 65 years, two months and 21 days.

She was united in marriage on April 1, 1905, to John Wesley Vickroy, in Des Moines, Iowa.

To this union 13 children were born, three daughters, Lena, Velma and Carol Lee preceded her in death.

She leaves beside her husband, six sons, Carl N., of San Fernando, California; Stuart of Liberal, Kansas; M. Sgt. Marvin of Arlington, Florida; Dewey of Salina, Kansas; Robert E. of Moline, Illinois, and Staff Sgt. John W., Jr., of Washington, D. C.

Four daughters: Mrs. Alice Harrell of Little Rock Arkansas; Mrs. Verna Hamilton and Mrs. Doris Walker of Salina, Kansas., and Mrs. Darlene Haltom of Lacona, and 27 living grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Fred Watsabaugh of Omaha, Nebraska, and Mrs. Jessie Roe of Wray, Colorado. Two brothers, Mark and Earl Beedle of Castor, Alberta, Canada. Besides these she leaves a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene of Lacona where she worked faithfully for her Savior until her health failed her just a few weeks ago. She was laid to rest beside two of her daughters and two grandchildren at Indianaola.
