DEATH OF FRANZ VOGT

Died at his Home on South Side After Illness of Ten Days
Franz Vogt died at his home in the town of Buchanan, near the city limits, Thursday after an illness of ten days. Death was due to pneumonia. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's church on Monday.

The deceased was born in Purssian Germany, and was 83 years of age on August 1st. He came to the state of Wisconsin 52 years ago and settled in Washington county, Town No. 10, moved to Freedom, Wis., 47 years ago, going thence to Milbank, So. Dakota; moved to Sherwood twenty years ago, moving thence to the home where he died, and where he has resided five years.

He leaves a wife and five grown up sons and daughters, viz: Mrs. Martin Reynen of Tagus, N. Dakota, Mrs. Louis Rubin of Albright, Canada, Mrs. H. Hempfner of Sisseton, So. Dakota, H. G. Vogt of Minneapolis, Minn. and Julius Vogt of this city, all of whom were here to attend the last sad rites. The bereaved wife, her feeble steps bearing her towards the 86th milestone in her journey of life, has the sympathy for all in her sorrow.

Friends from outside the city who were here to pay a last tribute of respect were : Judge George Moeskes, Herman Kamps, Henry Reuter, Mrs. Sherman, Mrs. G. Kamps, Mrs. Sacksteader, Mr. Hoffman, Mr. and Mrs. John Pickle of Appleton.
