John Clark was the son of John Clark and Rebecca Prime
He was born at Milford, Conn., Jan 15, 1726.
He died at Waterbury, Conn. (before June 9), 1794;
He married at Amity Parish (now Woodbridge), Conn. Dec 31, 1747 [Woodbridge Ch. Rec.], Mabel Lines, born abt. 1730. She was the daughter of Benjamin and Dorcas (Thomas) Lines of Amity in New Haven.
The will of John Clark, dates Sept. 25, 1789, proved June 9, 1794, mentions his wife "Mehitable" Clark, daughter Lydia Tools; sons Jehiel Clark, John Clark, and the heirs of my son Amos late Dec'd; my eldest son Chancy Clark; daughters Mabel Bryant, Molly Sperry, Philenor Beach, Susanna Scott, and Mehitabel Richardson; two grandchildren Sarah and Lodima; two sons Ebenr and Leverit to have remainder; sons John and Ebenr sole executors. The son Chancy had the trade of a shoemaker and was given twelve acres in Waterbury. [Waterbury P. 2:263.] A distribution of the remainder was made Mar. 16, 1795, to the widow "Mabel" Clark. Ebenr Clark, and Leveret Clark [Ibeid. 2:268]
