I had a lady contact me a couple of months or so ago telling me I had the wrong surname for Emily. At that time we were talking about my tree, but today I looked here because I had an update from another for her. I realized I had not updated her memorial with my new discoveries. On my tree she was a brick wall because I could not find parents for her as Emily King. This lady told me her maiden name was Rogers and that she had married a King. For whatever reason, I had not even considered that was a possibility. Since I have not been able to find memorials for these people I will tell you what appears to be her story.
Emily Rogers parents' were Elisa Rogers and Abigail Addy Tucker. Many of us know that children often name their children after their parents, thus Abigail Jane Batten! When I added just this little bit, I got a fountain of Batten DNA matches on Ancestry!!
Additionally, this new source that Ancestry is using "Geneanet Community Trees Index" also has this new information on it. I am not completely comfortable using it as I have seen some errors, but on this family, my tree has blossomed and I no longer have a brick wall here,
