Funeral Services Held Saturday for Former Resident

Margaret "Peg" (Vogt) Wagner

Mrs. Jack Wagner, age 55, of Waubee lake, Lakewood, Wisconsin, died suddenly at her home on February 4, 1970.

She was born July 5, 1914 in Outagamie County, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Vogt, and moved to Kaukauna when a small child.

She graduated from Kaukauna High School and OCTC, and taught school at Little Chicago, the Red Star school near Appleton, and the Apple Creek school in the Town of Kaukauna.

She and her husband owned and operated the Prospect Lodge on County Trunk F, (Lakewood) for 22 years. Mrs. Wagner was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary 659 of the VFW.

Survivors are her husband; six sisters: Mrs. Elizabeth Fischer, Stockbridge; Mrs. William Dries, West Allis; Mrs. Louise Sawall, Appleton; Mrs. Walter Vollmer, Hilbert; Mrs. William Schaefer and Mrs. George Luebke, Kaukauna. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Lake Church, Lakewood, with Rev. Harold Barryman officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

The Ermenc Funeral Home, Wabeno, was in charge of arrangements.

Age 55, died unexpectedly at her home Wednesday. She was born July 5, 1914 in Outagamie County, the former Peggy Vogt.

She and her husband owned and operated the Prospect Lodge on County Trunk F, for 22 years, moving from Kaukauna. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary 659 of the V.F.W. She married Jack Wagner in 1939 in Dubuque, Iowa.

Survivors are her husband; six sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Fischer, Stockbridge; Mrs. William Dries, West Allis; Mrs. Louise Sawall, Appleton; Mrs. Walter Vollmer, Hilbert; Mrs. William Schaefer and Mrs. George Luebke, Kaukauna.

She was preceded in death by one brother.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Saturday with mass at St. Mary of the Lake Church, Lakewood, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harold Berryman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The Legion Auxiliary service will be at 7:30 p.m. and a praryer service at 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
