Thomas Sparks was the son of Josiah Sparks. His ancestors stood up with Pocohontas and John Rolfe in April 1613.He was married to Rachel Perdue Aug 16, 1779. At the top of the stone it states "To the Memory of". At the bottom of the stone it says: "Mourn not for us we feel no more the sins of the afflicted head or aching heart. Mourn for your sins against a gracious God. Believe in Christ and feel his precious blood. This stone is a witmess at the warnings given. choose the good part and follow us to heaven."Also it says Thomas Sparks son of Josiah Sparks was born May 23, 1758 and departed this earth January 19, 1815."
