He lived in Neodesha Kansas. and attended church at the first Christian Church.

Ralph GREER married his 2nd wife Marjorie and they couldn't have children together so, Marjorie's sister was killed in a train accident and left several children behind. Ernest was just a small baby and Marjorie wanted to adopt him so, Ralph and Marjorie adopted him to raise as their own. His first name was already Ernest and they changed the middle name and last name.

FUNERAL SERVICES

RALPH GREER
Funeral services for Ralph Greer were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the
First Christian church with the Rev. Tom Parish, Jr., officiating.
Casket bearers were: Gerald R. Howe, Louis Elliott, John A. Clifton,
Oscar Skaggs, Vernie Seitz and Merle Phillips. Dave Cheshier sang It Is
No Secret and The Old Rugged Cross, accompanied by Mrs. C. G. Smirl.
Interment was at Varner cemetery under the direction of the Davis
Memorial chapel.

Ralph Greer Dies Here At Hospital; Services Will Be Held
Tomorrow.

Ralph Greer, 59, died Friday at 11:57 p.m. in the Wilson County
hospital. He had been ill one week.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 pm. at the Neodesha Christian church with the Rev. Tom Parish, Jr., officiating. Interment will be at Varner cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Davis Memorial chapel.

Ralph Greer was born December 29, 1904, in Neodesha , to
Richard and Isabel (Johnson.) Greer. On June 29, 1940 he married
Marjorie Hilliker in Sedalia, Mo. She survives at the rural home.

Mr. Greer was a shop foreman for the W. J. Small company from
1933 to 1952. He was then employed by Archer-Daniels-Midland until
1960 and had worked since then for the M-E-C company.

He was a member of the First Christian church, and I.O.O.F.
Lodge No. 72.

He is also survived by one son, Ernest Ralph Greer, U.S. Navy Air Force;
one daughter, Mrs Sharon Lynne Bono, Braidwood, Ill.; one granddaughter; and one brother, Elmer E. Greer, Neodesha. His parents and four brothers preceded him in death.
