Harry James Martin (1885-1955) is not the father of Harold E. Martin. The 1919 marriage record of Malinda Flagg and Harry Martin listed his parents as Herman Martin and Dena Jeffs. However, Harry Martin was an alias for Martin Rose, son of Herman Rose and Dena VanBelkum (divorced, Dena remarried Harry Workman). Martin Rose /Harry Martin was still legally married to his 1st wife, Hattie Verhoeks, until she filed for divorce from him in Michigan during 1920. The 1958 obituary of Mrs. Harry (Dena) Workman stated son "Harry Martens" was living in Wisconsin. The 1965 obituary of Harry Workman stated his stepson Harry Martin was living in Eagle River, Wisconsin. Harry was not mentioned in son Harold Martin's 1971 obituary, nor son Justamere Mann Martin's 1981 obituary.
