LAID TO REST

The funeral of William Phillips occurred this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the First Methodist church, Rev. Forsyth officiating, and was in charge of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. The church was filled with many sympathizing friends of the deceased and the services were impressive in the extreme. The floral offerings were unusually profuse and beautiful.
Deceased leaves a daughter 16 years of age and a son still young, both of who are now orphans, their mother having died about five years ago. Mr. Phillips was a well known character in Cheyenne, having resided here for the past seventeen years. A few years ago he suffered a stroke of paralysis and since then has been compelled to go about in a carriage. He had countless friends who feel the deepest sympathy for those who are left behind, in their deep sorrow.
