George Alguire
George Alguire, another old resident of Massena, died at the home of his son, William Alguire, on Main Street in this village Tuesday morning at six o'clock after six days illness, following a stroke of apoplexy which be suffered last Wednesday afternoon.
The funeral will be held today (Thursday) at half-past one o'clock from the Adventist church, interment in Pine Grove cemetery beside his wife.
George Alguire was born in Osnabruck, Ont. in 1826 and came to Massena to 1860, where he has since resided. In early life he married Miss Marion Andrew, of Canada, who died about ten years ago. He is survived by two Sons; William Alguire, of Massena, and Jacob Alguire, of Potsdam, also by three daughters; Mrs. Ida Reed and Mrs. George Nichols, of Massena, and Mrs. Eli Pryer, of Tupper Lake.

**George Alguire was the son of Martin Alguire and Nancy Warner of Osnabruck Twp., Stormont Co., Ontario, and is a direct descendent of two Loyalist families, Martin Alguire U.E.L and Michael Warner U.E.L.
