Baseball, bowling and playing cards were his favorite hobbies. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Glendale American Legion Post 29 and The Honor Guard. His survivors include his loving wife, Betty, children, Diane Bennett (Terry), Bill Rich (Bobby), Tom Bernardin, Jim Bernardin (Helen), Shirley Shea (Jim), Elaine Ramsey (Cecil), Steve Doyle, Don Doyle (Jana), Don Bernardin (Cindy), Mary Bernardin, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Al had a big heart and a contagious sense of humor. His family and friends will miss him dearly. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Glendale American Legion Post 29. A Celebration of his life will be held Sunday, August 24th at American Legion Post 29 at 6:00 P.M.
