Amos F Allen 80 years old died yesterday afternoon July 29 1926 at the Independence Sanitarium. He was a retired farmer and had been active in his work up to about a year ago. He was born on the Anderson place four miles northeast of Independence and lived in Jackson County Missouri all his life. He was a follower of Quantrill during the Civil War. He is survived by 4 sons. He made his home with a son C. A. Allen east of Independence. Funeral was at 2:30 this afternoon at the Bower Funeral Home with burial in the Woodlawn cemetery.
