Orange Kathan, 85, died at his home in Conklingville Monday night. He was a man well and favorably known throughout the entire surrounding country having many friends. His survivors are two sons, Jesse Kathan of Glens Falls and Walter Kathan who lived at home; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Inez Kathan of Northville and one grand-daughter, (name redacted for privacy).

The funeral will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at the late home in Conklingville. The remains will be placed in the Luzerne receiving vault until spring.

Orange Kathan died last night at his home in Conklingville, according to word received this morning by his niece, Mrs. Fred C. Morehouse of Church avenue.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock Thursday at the late residence.
