Hugh, Eunice, and two of their adult daughters, Sarah (Wright) Stewart (husband James) and Ann (Wright) Hulbert (husband Stephen) moved 850 miles west to Hebron, McHenry County, Illinois in the early 1840s.
Eunice, aged 80, died on 18 Mar 1845, in Hebron, and was buried there in South Hebron Cemetery. At her side was buried her husband Hugh Wright, who died two months later on 18 May 1845, aged 80.
