Nicholas P. Wagner, 78, Easton, died this morning.
He was born April 18, 1893 in Atchison County, the son of Lawrence and Elizabeth Penning Wagner. On June 2, 1920, he was married to Elizabeth Ernzen in Beloit. Mrs Wagner died in 1968.
Mr Wagner was a member of St Lawrence Church at Easton and a 50 year member of St Patrick Council 818 of the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving him are a son, Eugene Wagner, Easton; two daughters, Mrs Cecillia Beying and Mrs Aurelia Brown, both of Easton; four brothers, Peter M. Wagner, Easton; Matt Wagner, John Wagner and Lawrence Wagner, all of Atchison; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be a 10 a.m. Monday at St. Lawrence Church at Easton. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at the Sumpter Funeral chapel at 7:30 p.m. and at 8 p.m. Sunday by the Councils 818 and 900 of the Knight of Columbus.
The body wll be at the chapel after noon Saturday.
