She married George Brown(1801-1842) about 1821 in Allegheny County, Pa.
George and Jane had seven children: Margaret, Mary Ellen, Sarah Ann, Samuel Barber, William, Nancy Jane and John G. McCamish Brown.
The Barbers owned their own home at Turtle Creek, Pa., which they left to George & Jane, which later George & Jane left to their children.
Jane died on March 24, 1877 and is laid to rest with her son "Willie" who died as a young infant not quite 2 months old and is next to her husband George in Beulah United Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Churchill Borough, Wilkins Township, Allegheny County, Pa.
*Jean Coots is listed as such in Samuel Barber's last will and testament probate date 31 May 1820. Allegheny County, Pa.
She is also listed as Jane Koots in the "William Brown Family" Book, adopted by Samuel Barber and Margaret Brown.
