Jasper was born in Overton Co. TN. on April 15, 1827 to Josiah Marchbanks and Margret Saphronia Cannon.
He enlisted in the 30th Texas Cavalry on Dec.27, 1862 in Buchcanan TX. He was discharged Oct.18, 1863.
He married Margaret J. Irwin on April 30, 1846 in White Co. TN.
He had two children by Margaret Irwin:

Ann Dennis)
He married 2nd wife Sarah E. Churchwell between 1851 to 1855.
They had 5 children:

3.Emiline R. "Emma" born March 7, 1858 in Tarrant Co. Tx. she married Joseph Churchwill May 31, 1874.
4.Cumblin Robinson born March 7,1858 in Tarrant Co. TX. He married Mary Magdalene (Molly) Jones in Johnson Co.TX. Dec. 2, 1883.
5.Mary Jane "Jennie" born 1860. She married James W.Farris in Johnson Co.TX.
His 3rd wife was Minerva E. Mills Faulkner. Their Children were:
1.Alvin"Brub" born June 24, 1862 in Cleburne,TX. He married Martha Ann Baker Oct.18, 1891.
2.Ransom Powell"Ranse" born Dec.1863 to 1865 in Johnson Co. TX. He married Romina Butler ca.1888.
3.Amanda C. "Mady or Mandy" born in 1866 in Johnson Co. She married to Lewis Cherry.
His 4th wife was Sarah Jane "Jennie" Wilkinson .They married about Aug. to Nov. 1868 probably in Johnson Co. TX. Their children:
1.Jasper Franklin born Aug.11,1869 in Johnson Co. TX. He married Martha Minerva Whitener on Jan 11,1890.
2.Burton born 1872 in Johnson Co.
3.Weeden D. born March 5, 1873 in Johnson Co., married Tishia A. Jones after 1889.
4.Charlie born July 14, 1875 in Johnson Co. Buried in Buell Cemetery on left of Jasper.
5.Infant born April 24, 1877 in Johnson Co. Buried in Buell Cemetery.
6.Lena May "Lillie or Lilly" born 1878 in Johnson Co., married to George Ferris.
Jasper was 5'9"tall, fair complexion, blue eyes, and black hair.
He died March 29, 1878 and is buried at Lee's Academy Cemetery in Buell, TX.
