Mrs. Thelma Marie Sowers, 64, wife of Roy L. Sowers, of Spates Trailer Court, Shelby, died Wednesday noon at the Mansfield General Hospital following an extended illness.
Born July 14, 1900, in Richland County, she had lived all her life in this vicinity. Mrs. Sowers had been employed in the personnel office at the Ohio Brass Company, retiring in 1963. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Shelby.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are five sons: Richard Sowers, of Crestline; Eugene Sowers, Mansfield, RD6; Willis Sowers, Ontario; Lynn Sowers, Shelby, RD 2, and Arliss Sowers, Mansfield; 11 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Helen Kennedy, Mansfield. One daughter, Wanita, died previously.
The body was removed to the Wapner Funeral Home where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Ralph Lambert of Shelby, officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home starting this evening.
