Sharon Gilder, 86, of Vardaman, MS died on Wed., Aug. 6, 2014, at her residence.
Born Friday, May 18, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Thurman Marion Lowe and the late Gladys Fleming Lowe. She was the wife of the late William "Jasper" Gilder. Also preceded in death by sisters, Monette Lowe, Margaret Waldrop, Dorothy Price and Jeannie Nathey, and brothers, James Davis Lowe, Thurman "Ish" Lowe and Franklin Lowe.
She was a beloved grandmother and great-grandmother, a homemaker and a member of Vardaman First Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughters, Wilka Gilder, Cheryl Gilder, Karen (Mark) Harrelson, Annelle (Kenneth) Scott and a son, Bill Gilder, all of Vardaman, MS; grandchildren, Brandon (Toni) Taylor of Bay St. Louis, MS, Kenneth (Erica) Scott, Leslie (Nathan) Fugett, Jay Scott, Nicole Evans, Jeff Harrelson and Will Harrelson, all of Vardaman, and ten great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Midway Cemetery, Vardaman. MS.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, 2014 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home, Vardaman, MS.
