Julitta E. Wagner, age 94, a former Manitowoc resident, died early Friday morning, September 5, 2008, at Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers.
She was born June 13, 1914, in Rib Lake, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Andrew and Clara (Bonde) Bushman.
On October 8, 1938, she married Mathew J. Wagner at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alverno. He preceded her in death December 12, 1992.
Julitta became a Gold Star Mother when her son Philip was killed in action serving his country during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include thirteen sons and eleven daughters-in-law: Peter & Marlene Wagner, Elkhart Lake, Matthias & Charlotte Wagner, Newton, Thomas & Susan Wagner, Manitowoc, Anthony & Paula Wagner, Manitowoc, Charles & Kathy Wagner, Valders, John & Cathy Wagner, Lampe, MO, Michael & Beverly Wagner, Kalispell, MT, Nicholas Wagner, Newton, Richard & Lora Wagner, Manitowoc, Joseph & Marie Wagner, Roundup, MT, Raymond Wagner, Valders, Paul & Penny Wagner, Manitowoc, Mark & Shannon Wagner, Albany, OR; one daughter: Mary Woolsey and special friend David Goffard, Manitowoc; 38 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Mildred Bogenschutz, Manitowoc, Lucille Strauss, Manitowoc, Roland LeCompte, Salem, OR; and two brothers and three sisters-in-law: Andrew Bushman, Manitowoc, Robert & Rosie Bushman, Newton, Rosemary Bushman, Sheboygan and Luella Bushman, Manitowoc.
She was preceded in death by a son, Philip Wagner; three grandchildren: Patti, Jeff & William (Billy) Wagner; six sisters: Marcella, Margaret, Rosalia, Marie, Aurelia and Cecelia; and four brothers: Odilo, Joseph, Raymond and Daniel.
