Johnston City, 10 Jan 1895:
Mrs. Sarah Chamness, widow of late Rev. W. B. Chamness, celebrated eighty third birthday at Pigeon Creek Church on th 23. She came to Illinois from Tennessee in 1827, where she met and was wedded to the Rev. W. B. Chamness. Nine children, eight boys and one girl, was the result of this happy union. Mrs. Chamness has 94 grandchildren and 96 great grandchildren.
