Clarence Baugh
Rites Sunday
Funeral service for Clarence Baugh, 78, of 241 Jefferson will be conducted by the Rev. Melvin Nead at 1 p.m. Sunday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. Sunday until service time. Prayer service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Leesville Cemetery at Leesville.
Baugh died at 8:27 a.m. Friday at Bartholomew County Hospital.
He was born Aug. 4, 1905, in Lawrence County, the son of John and Della Elkins Baugh. He married Ruth Speer Sept. 27, 1924, and she survives.
Baugh was a member of the Columbus Free Methodist Church and the Senior Citizens. He was a World War I Army veteran and had retired from the Bendix Corp. at South Bend.
Other survivors include one son, Raymond Baugh of Yucaipa, Calif.; two daughters, Betty Beavers of 3611 W. Road 50N, and Shirley Blackwell of Nashville, 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
