Sal was born the son of Della and Earl Sanders. He graduated from Luverne, MN high school and served four years in the US Navy. Sal resided in Des Moines, IA for 40 years and had worked for Hawkeye Paving. Most recently he was a self employed carpenter. Sal loved his buddies and enjoyed grilling, cooking, a little fishing, the mountains and playing the slot machines.
He is survived by his sister, Earleen "Lea" Sanders and her family of Colorado.
Sal was very well liked by his friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
