Alvin passed away quietly with his family by his bedside. Alvin leaves behind Arlene, his wife of 50 years, his two sons Troy and Doyle, his daughter Sheryl "Sherie", 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, his sisters Shirley, Paula, and Tanya. He will be missed by all of them including his many nieces, nephews and many friends. His father Alvin Barney, his mother Lois and his brother Jerry Dean, preceded him in death. Alvin served 23 years in the U.S. Air Force, worked construction for many years and worked for Loomis Armored until his heart attack in 2000. He was president of the Motherlode Area Retread/Golden Eagles Motorcycle Club for eleven years. He traveled across the United States many times on his beloved Goldwing. Friends are invited to attend services of EAST LAWN MORTUARY, 5757 Greenback Ln, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11.
