MRS. RAUTENBERG CLAIMED BY DEATH

Mrs. Emilie Rautenberg, wife of E.I.F. Rautenberg, a resident of Lincoln for the past 76 years, died this morning at 5:45 0'clock at the family home at 325 Peoria street. Word of the death of Mrs. Rautenberg came as a surprise to her many friends in this community, since it was not generally known her condition was extremely critical, although she had been ill since last February. Three days ago her health began to fail rapidly and relatives were aware that death was not far away.
When two years of age, Mrs. Rautenberg came to Lincoln from St. Louis, where she was born August 29, 1850, observing her 78th birthday last month.
Mrs. Rautenberg, who was Miss Emilie Boy before her marriage, was the only daughter of J.F. and Mrs. Vogel Boy. Her marriage to Mr. Rautenberg occurred in Lincoln Nov. 6, 1873. The husband survives, with the following children: Mrs. Amelia C. Allison, Lincoln; Fred A. Rautenberg, Jacksonville, Fla.; A. T. Rautenberg, Seattle, Wash.; Ed F. L. Rautenberg, Chicago; Mrs. E. Pauline Cutler, Central Villages, Conn.; O.W. Rautenberg, Los Angeles, Cal.: Misses Clare and Melda Rautenberg of Lincoln. A sister, Mrs. F.W. Obermiller of Mt. Pulaski, and two grandchildren, are among the near relatives surviving.
Mrs. Rautenberg was a member of St. John's church, and active member of all women's organization connected with the church and a member of the local Rebekah lodge.
The funeral will take place Tuesday from the chapel at the Sheests Home, the hour to be announced later. Interment will be made in Union cemetery.
Fred and Edward Rautenberg and Mrs. Cutler are children who are enroute to Lincoln to attend their mother's funeral. Word has not been received from other children up to the present time.
